MAMOUNIA LOUNGE, KNIGHTSBRIDGE

Serena & Jessie headed for a full-on feast at Mamounia Lounge in Knightsbridge and it easily made our Pick of the Week!

WHAT?

Mamounia Lounge offers a fusion of Lebanese and Moroccan delights. Choosing what to eat off the menu took a while just because there was such a variety of appealing vegan options – we know that’s what you like to hear. We didn’t opt for a main because we wanted to sample as much mezze as possible; a little bit of everything is always so satisfying. However if you are feeling a main dish we were very tempted by the vegetable tagine served with dried fruits and almonds in a rich tomato sauce and tahini drizzle, the description of this is making us want to get back there straight away and try it!

ALL THE FOOD.

ALL THE FOOD.

We had truffle hummus - hummus is life and truffle hummus is the ultimate game-changer. For all your dipping pleasures there was Lebanese bread to accompany it.  Alongside it we had a colourful and vibrant grape and quinoa salad, a rich aubergine moussaka and the freshest falafel you could ask for. Of course you can’t come to a Lebanese restaurant and not try the falafel, vegan or not. The final dish we sampled from the mezze was vegetable filo pastries, which were absolutely delicious and definitely made our stomachs full.

As always though there was room for dessert - there’s a special space reserved for something sweet. We were served the most glorious tropical fruit platter you could imagine, the presentation was sensational and the fruit was on point.

On top of this, Zack was the friendliest waiter, plus he made us believe in ourselves and push on to the challenge that was that fruit platter.
