Documentation Needed

The deadline for the documents is 31st of July 2019. If you can send the documents as soon as possible, it’ll speed up the entire process.

Applicable to all traders

Health & Safety:

All traders must provide an up to date risk assessment. You can download and fill in the health and safety document here.

Public Liability Insurance:

You are obliged to have Public Liability Insurance to cover any hazard or loss which may occur at the event. Should your policy be up for renewal before or during the event then please provide evidence of your current insurance. Failure to do so may result in your being prohibited from opening to trade.

Applicable to hot food traders only

Food Licence:

All food catering operators are required to be registered as a food establishment with normally the local authority where they are based, and should provide the Mindful Market team details of their registration.

It is good practice to ensure all traders have had a minimum level 2 or training in Food Safety. By law all caterers must operate a management business system. All licensed food traders shall achieve and maintain for the duration of their licence a Food Hygiene Rating Standard of 4 or higher.


Mobile electrical generators can only be used with the prior approval in writing from the Council. Please provide the Mindful Market Team with the written approval.

All electrical equipment should be tested regularly by someone competent to carry out the test. Portable appliance testing (PAT) should be carried out on all portable appliances annually and six monthly for handheld devices in accordance with the IEE Code of Practice for in-service Inspection and testing of Electrical equipment. Certification to be provided to the Mindful Market Team.

Gas Cylinders:

Gas fixtures and systems require appropriate annual certification from a competent person who is Gas Safe registered for LPG appliances. Certification to be provided to the Market Mindful Market Team.

Fire Hazard:

Food business operator must carry out a fire risk assessment. You can download and fill in the fire risk assessment here.

Travel Information



There is limited parking available by the New Testament Church of God which is located one street away from the Mindful Market.

On-street parking is also available on nearby roads. It is advised that you leave enough time for finding parking space for your vehicle.



Public Transportation

The Art Pavilion is located at Mile End Park, postcode E3 4QY - a 6-minute walk from Mile End underground station.

Nearest Station: Mile End (Central, Hammersmith & City Line)

Parking: On-street parking available on nearby roads.

Bus: The 277, 339, 425, D6 buses stop very close to the Art Pavilion. The 8, 25, and 205 also stop close to Mile End station.

Cycling: There are dedicated railings to chain bicycles near to the venue.
